Rise Of The Tomb Raider – not just a simple game

Rise Of The Tomb Raider was launched in November 2015 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and later arrived for PC. For PS4 will be launched later this year. It is made by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix and Microsoft Studios.

Now, let me tell you a couple of things about the story of the game. Lara Croft, the main character of the game, must find Kitezh city where the ancient temple is. In her adventures will occur some bad characters to stop Lara to reach the temple and dominate the world – classic, right? Lara began this journey after her father did some research. Impressed by the story, he decided to continue the adventure with a friend to save the world.

This is the general story, but not all. The story is related to the previous title, Tomb Raider. In the beginning you get to Syria, where your aim is to find a tomb of a prophet. The problem is that after you find this tomb, sadly empty, you get caught by Trinity, some bad characters. But I will stop here with all these details since I hate spoilers and I don’t want to become one. More you can find out by playing this game.

The game has the habit to move you from one time to another, and if you are not familiarize with that, you could not understand anything. You will be either into the future, or in the past, or in the present day. I need to admit that at some point I didn’t know where I was: future, present or past.

Being and adventure/ action game, this title will offer you an interesting crafting system. To survive in quests, you will have to collect different objects to build weapons, a shelter, to feed and so on. You get to hunt wild animals with a rudimentary bow.

You will have to gather herbs for potions, kill animals to get dressed and during the game you will benefit also from the natural light of the sun, and in the night the light from the stars will guide you. At night, you will have to watch wild animals in the forest, and then you can hunt rare species in order to obtain a special item (I am not going to say anything about it).

The battles take place in a very clever way. You can choose to throw yourself into the action, or you can choose the stealth mode, my favorite one. You can easily sneak in behind opponents or animals if you want to kill them. You can climb trees and you can do murder, this game being pretty complex in this area.

Rise of The Tomb Raider is a game that I really enjoy and despite the fact that during missions I would have want a little more freedom, I totally recommend this game. If you happen to like mysteries most certainly this game is perfect for you.
